Paterson Police and Lambda Theta Phi Bring Holiday Cheer to Local Families

PATERSON, NJ — The Paterson Police Department and Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. once again joined forces to spread holiday joy through their 5th Annual “How the Lambdas Stole Christmas” community service event, held at Public School #2.

Led by Paterson Police Department Sgt. E. Del Valle, the heartwarming initiative brought together police officers, fraternity members, volunteers, and community partners with one shared mission: supporting Paterson families during the holiday season.

More than 250 children and their families were welcomed with a warm breakfast, festive activities, and the joy of receiving Christmas gifts. The celebration also featured special visits from Mr. and Mrs. Claus, creating unforgettable moments filled with smiles, laughter, and holiday spirit.

Organizers emphasized that events like this go beyond celebration—they represent a deep and ongoing commitment to community engagement and service. By stepping outside their daily duties, officers and volunteers demonstrated the importance of building trust, unity, and compassion within the neighborhoods they serve.
